Running Groups
There are three groups to choose from depending on your running ability. When you first come along to the running club one of our experienced coaches will discuss your running history and help you select an appropriate group for you. We change our routes every week so you will never get bored and you will always have a running leader to guide you round the route and give you support along the way. The routes will always be available to view before you go out on your run.
2 Mile Route
Our 2 mile route caters for complete beginners. The routes are generally flat and the pace is as slow as you need to go. Many of our members start off in this group with a mixture of walking and running. This group always has a running leader to help and encourage you along the way. This is a great starting block and many of our members who are new to running use it to build up their fitness levels before they move on to the next group.
3 Mile Route
Our 3 mile route is a great stepping stone. It gives our members the chance to build up their fitness by increasing their distance. Many of our members find this a good place to begin. We have a wide range of pace in this group but as long as you can run the distanve you are welcome to join the group
4 Mile Route
Our 4 mile route is a popular group. The pace can often vary in this group therefore a running leader will always be present. This group give you the opportunity to push your distance, there will be no stopping you from here!
If you feel that you would like to run further than 4 miles you always have the opportunity to add an extra mile onto the four mile route.
